Because the cycling event covered 100 miles, with one starting point and two different finish lines, we needed to produce duplicate signage to accommodate the two venues – one at Riverfront Park in North Charleston and one at Shipyard Park in Mount Pleasant.
The project also required collaboration with a sporting event company from Georgia and a design firm in Ohio, along with the LOWVELO organization here in Charleston. This can get tricky from a logistical standpoint, but we utilized team management software to effectively communicate leading up to the event. The availability of truss systems also presented a challenge, leaving us unsure of how the final design would look with our sign panel wrap. But the photos will prove that it came out looking great – and much better than the bare aluminum truss appearance!
As a local printer, we were able to take edits even as the event approached. Plus, because the printing was done right here in town, savings resulted from not having to ship multiple pallets. Red Falcon Ink was also able to arrange for pick-up and delivery, streamlining the process for event organizers.
Our extensive experience with large-scale events right here in the Lowcountry makes us a great print partner for your next event!
